What You’ll Do:

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the successful completion of assigned projects in support of the Company’s Donor Centers. The Facilities Manager reports to the VP of Facilities and Construction as part of the Facilities Department

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand principles of maintenance related to 6,000 to 8,000 square foot blood plasma donation centers. A blood plasma donation center contains components similar to facilities for outpatient surgery, dialysis, blood donation, or medical office buildings
  • Ensure all building components are regulatorily compliant and maintained to provide a safe, efficient, and clean environment.
  • Receive, process, and assign digital work orders
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders on the scheduling of the work order onsite completion and closing out the work order request in the applicable system.
  • Develop facility maintenance projects through scoping, stakeholder involvement, and maximizing long-term feasibility.
  • Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for facility maintenance, emergencies, and contact lists for utilities & subcontractors.
  • Lead bid management, contract management, and general supervision of Facilities vendors, including, but not limited to: Local area maintenance contractors, electricians, plumbers, painters & carpenters as well as center vendors including, such as pest control, security, alarm, janitorial, and landscape maintenance
  • Management of the Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) freezer and mechanical contractor Preventative Maintenance program.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans to track progress.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate project management systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage and control maintenance costs.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFP) for new locations vendors, including writing scopes of work, and managing select subcontractors / key vendors as well as providing detailed bid comparison and award recommendations.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent facilities maintenance industry experience.
  • At least 10 years of facilities maintenance industry experience.

Must be able to travel overnight 1 to 2 days per week or 20% to 40% of any given week, as necessary, in the performance of the above duties.

Full Time (Direct Hire)

Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000
