Purpose:

The Manager, Training & Development is a field trainer, responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of field staff. This includes pre-opening training programs for employees of all levels and locations including technical and leadership staff. This position provides support, guidance, and coaching to existing centers, drives training and development initiatives, and provides management oversight to assigned trainees in the field. The Manger, Training & Development will work closely with various departments to ensure field teams are well prepared to meet the company's objectives and deliver outstanding results.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Develop and maintain comprehensive training programs for center operations and quality leadership that align with the organization's goals and objectives. 
•    Identify training needs through collaboration with department heads, regional managers, center directors, and other stakeholders.
•    Design and update training materials, facilitator guides, and resources to ensure relevance and effectiveness using Power Point, Word, and other applications. 
•    Create repeatable scalable processes for Field Training Management, to include program playbooks, instructional guides, visit templates, and other materials.
•    Define and execute against Training KPIs and OKRs for Center Operations Management (COS) and Center Quality Assurance Supervisor (CQAS) Training Programs. 
•    Conduct and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars for new hires and existing staff both in person and remotely. 
•    Utilize various training methods, including on-the-job training, classroom instruction, e-learning, role playing, and simulations.
•    Ensure training sessions are engaging, interactive, and result oriented.
•    Provide training support to donor centers, traveling to and from the assigned location on weekends, as needed, to be at the donor center on Monday prior to opening and remain at the donor center until close on Friday.
•    Provide managerial oversight to assigned Trainees as they progress through their development.
•    Provide constructive feedback and coaching to individuals or teams as needed.
•    Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, evaluations, surveys, and feedback.
•    Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies in plasma operations and quality.
•    Continuously improve and adapt training programs to address evolving needs and challenges.
•    Collaborate with other departments to integrate training initiatives into broader development strategies.
•    Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, performance assessments, training materials, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements in LMS.
•    Generate reports on training program effectiveness that provide updates to stakeholders concerning learner progress, development, goal completion, and other information upon request.
•    Maintain records and reports of training expenses.
•    Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (“SOPs”) and applicable FDA, EMA, CLIA, and State Regulations.
•    Follow all Safety and OSHA policies and procedures. Ensures the center and all employees comply with OSHA regulations and training. 
•    Maintain a clean efficient work environment, and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed.
•    May conduct routine internal procedures and documentation audits.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.
•    Generate reports on training program effectiveness that provide updates to stakeholders concerning learner progress, development, goal completion, and other information upon request.
•    Maintain records and reports of training expenses.
•    Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (“SOPs”) and applicable FDA, EMA, CLIA, and State Regulations.
•    Follow all Safety and OSHA policies and procedures. Ensures the center and all employees comply with OSHA regulations and training. 
•    Maintain a clean efficient work environment, and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed.
•    May conduct routine internal procedures and documentation audits.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.

•    Ability to train and maintain annual certification in all areas including: CLT, COM, QAS, MST, Donor Floor, and Processing.

Education and Experience:

•    Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master's degree in Training and Development or a similar field is a plus.
•    Three (3) years’ employee training and development experience required.
•    Three (3) years’ plasma or whole blood industry experience preferred.
