The Role

A Regional Quality Manager is responsible for monitoring the Quality Assurance activities of donor centers within region. Ensures compliance with regulations and customer requirements. Assists and supports center Quality Assurance Supervisors with day-to-day needs, center quality audits and inspections, audit responses, and oversees and supports quality key performance indicators for region.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees center quality assurance functions.
  • Ensure the Donor Centers within region are audit-ready at all times.
  • Working with Regional Operations Manager and assigned donor centers to maintain regulatory compliance of region.
  • Work with Corporate Quality Assurance and region to maintain product quality, product integrity in all processes, donor suitability, and safety of donated product.
  • Monitors, reviews, and provides guidance to center QAS and Operations management for investigating, developing, and implementing CA/PAs for nonconformance events.
  • Engage and support Donor Center audits.
  • Ability to efficiently analyze and assess needs to support centers within region.
  • Ability to work under pressure; meet inflexible deadlines; set priorities; and develop team.
  • Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time.
  • Ability to work remotely when not assigned travel location.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor’s degree,
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as described in Job Expectations and Essential Functions may be substituted for bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience requirements are the following:
  • Five (5) years of experience in a cGMP environment with plasma or whole blood experience preferred but may also review candidates with related experience in a clinical or general business setting. 
  • Supervisory experience preferred but not required.
  • Detail oriented, and knowledge of scientific, medical, and regulatory terms.
  • Demonstrates organizational and coordination skills, with critical attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills with minimal supervision.
